This job stands out as one of my most difficult and outrageous dent repairs!
I got a call from a young man who seem to be a bit out of breath and very upset. I asked him my normal fact finding questions to see if I could help him. It took me a while to get the info I needed, but after I listened to his story, I quickly understood why he was so worked up and out of breath!
He started to tell me a story how his dad's brand new 2023 F350 got these nasty odd dents in the driver side door. Long story short, he told me he was driving back with his boat from being out bass fishing when a man started driving erratic near him, and then he quickly realized that he was the focus of this man's craziness...
He said he could drive fast or evade the guy, so at a red light, the man pulled up in front of him and blocked his path, and the man jumped out of his car. He said he ran up to the driver side dorr and was screaming and posturing like he wanted to fight!
The young man was about 20yrs old, (Big Kid) and was definitely scared and was not going to get out of his truck. (Very Smart) When he picked up his phone to call 911, the man snapped, and started punching the driver door!
What you see in the before picture are knuckle marks, and the one forward of that, it looks like Wolverine swiped the panel...
The youngster was hoping that this would be a couple hundred dollars and I could come fix it before his dad found out. (I chuckled and had to explain!) I explained to him that this it would be about 1k, and take me a few hours to "Maybe" get this back, but I didn't know how this would go because on top of everything, these panels are made of aluminum.
Happy to report that after 5+ hours of deep focus and prayers to the dent gods, I was able to return this panel back to a 99% of the factory finish...
I was really proud of this one, and I was glad I was able to help this family put this bad experience behind them.
I love these types of jobs because they really challenge me and after 25 yrs I'm still learning, and I love it.
